MONROE — Thanks to the generosity of SSM Health staff and the greater community, over 300 essential items were collected during a recent drive for Green Haven Family Advocates. In addition to the item donations, a $500 sponsorship was contributed to further support Green Haven’s critical mission.
The items collected ranged from basic household supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags and dish soap to new pillows, laundry detergent, and more. The items will go directly to families in transition, helping to meet immediate needs while offering a sense of normalcy.
“Our collection drive highlights the importance of supporting and raising awareness about the work Green Haven is doing every day,” said Rebecca Bordner, SSM Health Monroe Hospital Marketing & Communications Consultant. “It is our hope that this contribution will help meet both the immediate and long-term needs of the individuals and families they serve.”
Green Haven Family Advocates has served as Green County’s domestic violence advocacy agency for more than 40 years.
