MONROE - Green County Community Day Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Wal-Mart parking lot.
The event is open to the community, where they can come and meet community heroes and learn about the services they offer. Those who attend can explore fire trucks, ambulances, squad cars, life safety house and special response teams. Participants include Monroe Clinic ED, Salvation Army, Red Cross Veterans Services, Green County Ham Radio Operators, Green County Humane Society, Green County Health Department, and Green county Emergency Management.
Event items include balloon twisting and facing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Green County Sheriff's Department K-9 demonstration at 1 p.m. and crafts and games throughout the day from 4-H.
