MONROE - The Swiss Colony's Seventh Avenue catalog (on the web at Seventhavenue.com) placed 94th on the list of Top 100 Consumer Electronics Retailers for 2007 sales. An article in TWICE (This Week In Consumer Electronics), a top industry news periodical published by Reed Business Information, announced the list of top sellers. Topped by big-name chain retailers such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart, the list also included Wisconsin-based companies such as American TV, Shopko, and Kohl's Department Stores. Seventh Avenue's $36 million in consumer electronics sales includes totals from the company's other catalogs.

Gary Schwager, President of Seventh Avenue Inc., was thrilled with the recognition. "Achieving a spot on the TWICE Top 100 List is a tremendous honor for the entire Seventh Avenue organization and our affiliated companies," Schwager said. "The list is used by electronics manufacturers and the media worldwide. And of course we need to recognize our customers nationwide, whose great response to our brands, variety, and service have enabled us to be on this list."

The Monroe-based Swiss Colony, famous for its cheese and sausage business, branched out into general merchandise catalogs over 25 years ago. The Seventh Avenue brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The catalog includes offerings of home furnishings, clothing, jewelry, decorative items, and electronics. The company's affiliate catalogs include Ginny's, Midnight Velvet, Through the Country Door, Tender Filet, Monroe & Main, and ASHRO.
