City's Parks and Rec to offer ballroom dance classes

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will hold a session of ballroom dance lessons beginning Monday, April 5-April 26. The class will run for four consecutive Mondays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Behring Senior Center of Monroe.

The class will offer instruction in fox trot, waltz, swing, polka and the schottische taught by Judy and Gil Oberdas. The fee is $48 per couple for Monroe residents and $63 for non-residents.

To register for the class, stop in at the Park and Recreation Department office located in the lower level of City Hall, 1110 18th Avenue, Monroe.

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with someone in the office over the noon hour.
