MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering Karate classes beginning Tuesday, Dec. 2. Karate meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Monroe Senior Center, 1113 10th St. The youth class is for children 7-12 years old and is held from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The adult class (for anyone 13 years or older) is held from 7:15-8:30 p.m. This session is from Dec. 2 to Feb. 26.
Cost is $40 for youth and adults who are residents of Monroe and $47 for non-residents. If more than one person per family involved in the program, the cost would be $40 for one person and $35 for each additional family member for Monroe residents and $47 for the first non-resident participant and $42 for each additional family member.
