City offers children's dance lessons

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is once again offering dance classes for children. All dance programs will begin on Sunday, March 29, and end on Sunday, May 17. Classes will be held at the Community Center (basement of Monroe City Hall) and the cost to participate is $21 for Monroe residents and $28 for non-residents.

Paige Hoesly and Rebecca Flannery will be the instructors.

• Pretty, Pretty Princess is offered to children 3-5 years of age and will meet from 5 to 5:40 p.m.

• Disney Dance Club is offered to children 3-5 years of age and will meet from 5:45 p.m. to 6:25 p.m.

• Jonas Brothers' Dance Moves is offered to children ages 6 years and older and will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.

The dance program offers the individual an introductory experience in age appropriate dance. Participants should wear casual clothes or leotards if they have them with tights or socks. Ballet or jazz shoes are not required.

To register your child, stop at the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department, 1110 18th Ave., Monroe or call the office at 329-2460. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
