MONROE — The City of Monroe is the nearing completion of its Comprehensive Plan Update, a long-range document that serves as a roadmap for how the community will grow and develop over the next 20-plus years. The plan reflects the City’s vision and priorities, helping guide future decision-making on land use, housing, transportation, parks, economic development, and more.

The first draft of the Comprehensive Plan Update is now available for public review. Community feedback is an important part of the planning process, and the public is invited to share their thoughts.

The drafted plan is more than 50 pages of date, information and graphics on the recent history of Monroe, the community’s economy, demographics, health, culture and more.
