MONROE - Monroe City Band will present the final free public concert of the summer series at 8 p.m. Monday, July 28, in the Twining Park bandshell. Guest announcer for this concert is television weather announcer Amy Carlson of Madison.
The program begins with the Star Spangled Banner, as arranged by Bill Moffit. This will be followed by American Patrol, a march, by F.W. Meacham; Joyride, by Timothy Johnson; LaBelle Americana, a medley, by Warren Barker; and Themes Like Old Times IV, a medley arranged by John Edmondson.
Also to be included are Home Stretch, a galop, by Leroy Anderson; Swing's the Thing, a medley arranged by Warren Barker; Selections from My Fair Lady, by Frederick Loewe, as arranged by John Moss; and King Cotton, march by John Philip Sousa.
