JUDA - The Juda Zion and Oakley Union United Methodist churches will present its 19th annual Christmas musical at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 in the sanctuary at Zion church, N2350 Church St.
This year's musical, "The Spirit of Christmas: Sights and Sounds Of The Season," is created by Phil Barfoot and Lori Goss and directed by Shelly Jordan. The story follows a family as they each contemplate what Christmas means to them. As they experience the hectic days of pre-Christmas, the choir will sing songs including "Home For Christmas," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "The Prayer" and Handel's "Messiah."
Soloists in the program include Shelly Jordan, Kim Becker, Patrick Daniels and Pastor Vicki Brantmeyer.
The program will end with a reminder of what Christmas is all about with the choir singing "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day."
The performances are open to the public and will be followed by refreshments and fellowship in the church overflow room.
