Church celebrates dedication with its first music festival

MONTICELLO - Washington Reformation Church, N6026 Church Road, Monticello, is hosting their first music festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at the church. This event is in celebration of the church's dedication that was held on July 4, 1876. The 1876 dedication, including music and food, was held on the new floor and foundation of the church.

This annual event will also include music and food. The music groups that will appear are The Greenfield Brothers (traditional country from the Blanchardville area), Style Junction (bluegrass from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois), the Greg Anderson Band and Washington Church's own group, affectionately called Pew People. Admission is a suggested donation of $5.

Food will be "Taste of Washington," including hamburgers, brats, salads, pies and cookies plus cheese curds, slushies, soda and water will be available for purchase.

Directions from Monticello, go 5 miles west on County C and turn left on Church Road.
