DARLINGTON — Lafayette County Health Department is now offering a Chronic Disease Prevention Program that offers alternatives for patients to receive blood pressure checks and lab tests to screen for chronic diseases. 

This program is for residents that do not have health insurance coverage; or have a private health insurance plan with a high deductible; or have private health insurance plan that will not cover certain chronic disease lab tests. To access this service, contact the Lafayette County Health Department and speak to a Public Health Nurse regarding testing options and qualifying factors; or get a physician’s order from your healthcare provider for specific chronic disease testing. Lafayette County Health Department will not bill health insurance for this service. Only cash or check payment is accepted and payment is required in full at the same time of service.
