MONROE — Green County Cheese Days needs an ambassador for the 2020 festival. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by Nov. 1 and should demonstrate knowledge of and/or experience and interest in the dairy or cheese industry. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in communications, marketing and/or public relations. 

Additionally, applicants should be willing to learn about cheesemaking past and present, along with the history of the festival. Applicants must be residents of Green County or employed in Green County.

Official duties of the Cheese Days ambassador begin at the 2020 Cheese Days Kick Off scheduled for Nov. 4. The ambassador will represent the festival at state, regional and local events. Duties include public speaking, presentations, interviews and establishing a social media presence.

Applications are due by Aug. 1. Top candidates will be invited for an interview on the morning of Aug. 17. Candidates will be asked to write in advance and present, in person at the interview, a 30 second radio spot to promote the festival.
