Charter student scholarship applications due March 31

MADISON - March 31 is the deadline to apply for Charter's Student Schola-rships.

Now in its 12th year, the Charter Student Scholarship Program awards up to ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois for the 2009-2010 school year.

Applications for the annual scholarship program are available at area high schools and Charter customer service locations, as well as online at www.chartermainstreetgld.com.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship, a student must:

• Be a graduating high school senior;

• Be a resident of Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Illinois;

• Plan to major in one of the following areas of study: marketing, accounting, business administration, business management, communications, computer technology, engineering, or a related field at an accredited college;

• Maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average;

• Submit an application form and two letters of recommendation and a 250-word essay.
