JANESVILLE - On Jan. 7 and 8, 20 Blackhawk Technical College staff and faculty members received training in Principles and Practice of Green Manufacturing in a course entitled Green Generalist 101. The curriculum and training were provided by Purdue University, Manufacturing Extension Partnership. The goal of the training was to prepare instructors to deliver green manufacturing instruction to employees so they can help their employers with cost efficiencies and profitability. An additional benefit of the training is that BTC faculty can use the training to make "green changes" in their current curriculum, and staff will have the knowledge to identify and recommend environmentally-friendly changes at the college.
