BROWNTOWN — The Browntown Fire Department will host a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. on March  in support of Jerry and Darlene Stietz.

Jerry has been with the fire department since 2001 and is now the sole provider for his family. Darlene is battling end stage kidney failure, among other health problems. She has dialysis treatments three times a week, and due to other health issues, lost her job of more than 20 years and employee benefits at the end of December 2024.

Fellow firefighters and community members are raising funds to help offset funds caused from medical bills and rising consumer costs.

There will be a basket raffle drawing and baked goods during the dinner. There will also be a bake sale from 12-2 p.m. at Powers Auction Service, with a preview of the baskets available.

The dinner is free-willed donations and any other donations can be sent to The Bank of New Glarus Go Green Donations.
