BRODHEAD — Jon K.T Lindley, a native of England who has lived in Brodhead for 19 years, represented Wisconsin at this year’s International Singer-Songwriters Association awards ceremony Aug. 3 in Atlanta.
As an administrator for the organization, Lindley was honored with a Team Recognition Award for the music industry business advice he gave to members throughout the year, such as help with contract agreements, licensing and publishing.
In addition, Lindley’s musical partner Randall Griffith, who lives in the Pacific Northwest, won gold in the Male Vocalist category. Lindley and Griffith make music together under the name Colby Gray.
Lindley is an independent music producer, musician and audio engineer. He operates his own production company, K.T Productions, in Brodhead. He also manages the audiovisual department at The Geo Group, a translation agency in Madison. A former woodworker, he designed speciality furniture for Sugar River Design before pursuing a career in music and production.
Lindley attended the awards ceremony in Atlanta with his wife, Lori Lindley.
“I couldn’t do what I do without her,” he said.
