Brodhead High 'Singing loud for all to hear'

BRODHEAD - Students in the Brodhead School District will present "Elf The Musical JR." at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Brodhead High School auditorium/cafeteria.

The show features more than 50 students in grades 3-12.

The show is based on the 2003 movie "Elf" and features songs by Tony Award nominees, including Matthew Sklar ("The Wedding Singer") and Chad Beguelin ("Disney's Aladdin On Broadway").

The musical tells the story of Buddy, a young orphan who is raised by elves in the North Pole. When he faces the truth that he is not an elf himself, Buddy journeys to New York City to discover his true identity. "Elf The Musical JR." is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
