MONROE - Boy Scout Troop 101 is washing spuds and chopping onions for its annual fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Moose Lodge, 639 3rd Ave., Monroe.

The scouts will be serving up a baked potato or taco dinner, featuring a choice of toppings and a homemade dessert or Culver's custard.

There will also be a silent auction. Items this year include a Crazy Horse camping package, Vitense Footgolf passes, Snappers tickets, a year of Culver's custard, restaurant and food packages, car mechanic packages and fun and leisure baskets.

Dinner tickets can be purchased at the door for $6. Takeouts are available.

The money raised will help keep the troop operational, including camping and supplies, merit badges and awards. The staff is all volunteer, so the money raised goes directly to support the troop and the scouts.
