MONROE - Boogie and the Yo-Yo'z will be rocking the Square at Cheese Days, and one winner could party up front with the band.

Ten Boogie fans will party in a reserved VIP section when the band plays the main stage at Cheese Days at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15.

The "Boogie with Boogie" VIP Package includes personal wait staff to deliver food and beverages to the area, which will be cordoned off to one side right in front of the stage and set up with tall cocktail tables.

Included are drink tokens for the Cheese Days beer and wine tent, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches from the National Historic Cheesemaking Center stand, a variety pack of desserts from other booths, Cheese Days tchotchkes and Cheese Days "Boogie with Boogie" T-shirts.

The winning bidder in a special auction will walk away with the VIP package donated by Green County Cheese Days. Everyone attending the Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Cheese Tasting and Steak Dinner will be invited to bid. The ticketed event - which includes cheese tasting from the World Championship Contest, a steak dinner and free beer - will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 11 at the Monroe Den, 1506 31st Ave. In honor of the occasion, auctioneer Dave Konig will sell the package at 7 p.m. that day while wearing a cheese sombrero instead of his usual cowboy hat. The Cheese Days royalty - King and Queen Gordy and Ruth Bergemann and Ambassador Tess Zettle - will cheer on the bidders.

Tickets are available at Heartland Graphics and Monroe Glass in Monroe, and Bank of New Glarus-Sugar River Bank branches in Monroe, New Glarus, Juda and Brodhead.

All proceeds from the auction package, as well as proceeds from the tasting event, go to the Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund in support of causes that were close to Father Campion's heart, including educational and charitable projects related to advocacy for youth and those with disabilities. This nonprofit is administered through the Monroe Fund by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
