Bluebird Nest Nature Center plans June events

DARLINGTON - The Bluebird Nest Nature Center is planning several programs this month.

Tom Kessenich will present his program, "Snakes Alive," at 1 p.m. Saturday in the downstairs community room of Town Bank, 15815 Wisconsin 81, Darlington. Everyone is welcome to attend. More information and photos can be found at www.gggreg.com/snakesalive.html.

Pat Ready, an experienced birder and nature photographer, will be presenting a program on kestrels at 7 p.m. Monday at the nature center, 308 Main St., Darlington. This will be Ready's third program at the nature center, and he will discuss his experience working with kestrels, a bird of prey.

At 7 p.m. June 20, Dr. Lori Neumann and Jim Sinclair will discuss how they, with a group of young friends, made a hibernaculum on their property. Visit the Bluebird Nest Nature Center to learn how they provided a place for snakes to hibernate.

Rickie Rachuy will be at the nature center at 7 p.m. June 29 to demonstrate how to identify birds by their calls.

The Bluebird Nest Nature Center is sponsored by the Lafayette County Bluebird Society. There is no charge for any programming, but donations are always appreciated. More information can be found at lafayettecountybluebirdsociety.wordpress.com.
