Blood drive receives 21 potential donors

SOUTH WAYNE - The Red Cross community blood drive held on June 6 at Marty's Village Inn saw 21 potential donors present with one deferral and one leaving on their own.

A total of 19 gallons was collected, just shy of the 20-gallon goal.

Meeting milestones were Grant Dale (six gallons) and Cheryl Dale (four gallons).

Other donors were Patrice Casselberry, Mary McKnight, Robert Hull, Carl Gille, Peggy Hutchison, Constance Meier, Edwin Ernst, Loretta Brummel, Gary Burns, Kevin Baker, Thomas Wellnitz, Mary Metz, Keith Rosenstiel, Herbert Tornow, Larry Moen, Joan Jensen and Eleanor Gille.

Donations to the canteen were made by Valley View of South Wayne, South Wayne Mart, Joyce Paulson, Pat Baumgartner, Lori Sawdey and Connie Meier.

The Red Cross will return to Marty's Village Inn on Thursday, Aug. 8.
