Blood drive just shy of reaching goal

MONROE - Three new donors were among those donating blood at the bloodmobile in Monroe on Sept. 17. There was 171 donors who presented and 162 productive units gathered, less than the 190-unit goal.

First-time donors are Bob Derendinger, Karen Anne Bloom and Dawn Parmer. The 1-gallon donors were Brenda Kulow-King and Kevin Wells. The 2-gallon donors were Marjorie Goldenman and Ed W. Grabow. The 6-gallon donors Nancy Deets, Kari Fernstaedt and Dorothy Wells. The 8-gallon donors were Jim Curran and Laura Stietz. The 9-gallon donor was Don Best. The 10-gallon donor was Harvey Goepfert. The 12-gallon donors was Lauren Meinert. The 13-gallon donor was Nancy Koch. The 18-gallon donor was Rex McHardie.

The next bloodmobile will be from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 at the United Methodist Church, Monroe.
