Blood drive exceeds quota in South Wayne

SOUTH WAYNE — The Red Cross Community Blood Drive at Village Inn, South Wayne exceeded quota by 6 units at their blood drive held Nov. 7. The quota was 44 with 50 potential donors presenting, five deferrals, one incomplete, and six doubles given making the total units collected 50.

Kortney Hull was a first timer. Steve Bechtolt reached his 8 gallon mark.

Other donors were Patti Anderson, Barb Saunders, Candance Gross, Elaine Renken, David Renken, Kim Francis, Dorothy Seffrood, Cheryl Dale, Grant Dale, Kerry Schultz, Sue Gerloff, Kathryn Feeley, Debra Mann, Emily Zanling, Robert Hull, Sue Ann Newingham, Ralph Johnson, Connie Meier, Pam Larson, Lavonne Liphart, Melvin Zimmerman, Marcella Hartwig, Tom Wellnitz, Muranda Lomas, Dave Jackson, Karen Foley, Ed Ernst, Andrew Ermey, John Hagen, Jillene Meier, John Ganshirt, Coral Wilcor, Joan Jenson, Deb Thompson, Janet Gobeli, Gary Miller, Herb Tornow, Dan Seffrood, Lonnie Staufer, Jackie Boss, Larry Moen, Denise Leu, George Vernan, Monica Koch, John Warner, Konnye Hull, Kaci Nall, Karen Signer and Josh Patton.

Donating to the food canteen were Valley View, cheese; South Wayne Mart, milk; Lori Sawdey, cookies and sandwiches; Susie Junk, sandwiches; Joyce Paulson, sandwiches; and Connie Meier, sandwiches, crackers, sausage, bars and coffee. Helpers for the day were Junk, Sawdey and Meier. The next drive at South Wayne Village Inn will be Jan. 2.
