SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk schools will be honoring local veterans for their service at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Black Hawk gymnasium.
The program will include a student-led musical tribute and poetic readings. Coffee and muffins will be served to local veterans starting at 8:30 a.m. in the lower commons.
Black Hawk schools do not have school in session on Nov. 11, hence the scheduling of the program on Thursday.
