Better balance, strength for older adults returns this spring

FREEPORT — After a short winter break, the Senior Resource Center is excited to welcome spring with the return of its popular fitness class, Better Balance & Strength for Older Adults, offered in partnership with Pathway Physical Therapy LLC.

This six-week program is specifically designed to help older adults improve strength, flexibility, and balance in a safe, supportive environment. Led by experienced physical therapists, participants will engage in gentle, guided exercises focused on enhancing mobility, reducing the risk of falls, and promoting overall well-being.

“We’re thrilled to bring this class back to our community,” said Amanda Faivre, executive director of the Senior Resource Center. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for older adults to stay active, build confidence, and support their long-term health.”

Class Details:

●  Tuesdays, March 17 — April 21

●  1-1:45 p.m.

●  $42 for the six-week session, payment (cash or check) is required to reserve a spot.

●  Senior Resource Center, 206 E. Stephenson Street, Freeport

Registration & Payment:

●  Payments can be dropped off at the Senior Resource Center.

●  Space is limited; early registration is encouraged.

Participants of all fitness levels are welcome. The class provides a welcoming atmosphere where older adults can take proactive steps toward maintaining strength, stability, and independence.
