Benefit planned for fireman Mark Davis

ORANGEVILLE - A benefit for Mark Davis will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 14 at the Orangeville Fire Station, with a pancake breakfast, bake sale and blood drive. Appointments to donate blood may be scheduled online at rrvbc.org or by calling Toni Koester at 815-291-0057.

A golf outing will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at Brush Creek Golf Course and will include a pulled-pork dinner, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Davis is a life-long resident of Orangeville and 25-year member of the Orangeville Fire Department. He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in July and has been receiving in-patient treatment in Madison. The fire department has set up an account to help cover medical and personal expenses. Checks may be written out to the Orangeville Fire Department, c/o Mark Davis and delivered to any community bank or Orangeville fireman.
