At a ceremony held Feb. 17 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Hans Eric Becklin was ordained as a minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. 

Rev. Becklin is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and holds a Master of Divinity degree from The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Rev. Becklin spent his early childhood in New Glarus and attended New Glarus grade school before transferring to Madison County Day School. He is the son of Katherine Becklin of Monona and the late Jay Becklin and the grandson of Elizabeth Johnson, formerly of Argyle, and the late Mac Johnson. He is married to Marissa Becklin. He has been called to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, Lititz, Pennsylvania.
