NEW GLARUS - The Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank Branches donated $1,000 to the United Way of Green County through its Pay to Play program, which allows employees to donate $5 per month in order to wear jeans on Fridays. Each quarter, these funds are donated to a different nonprofit organization chosen by the employees of the bank. The program, which began in summer 2015, has also donated to the Green County Humane Society and Family Promise of Green County.

According to Kristin Riniker, marketing coordinator for the Bank of New Glarus and Sugar River Bank Branches, charitable giving is a core value of the banks and the Pay to Play program is a great opportunity for employees to give back to the organizations that matter to them, while enjoying the comfort of wearing blue jeans on Fridays.
