MONROE - The Monroe City Band will start rehearsals for the summer concert season at 8 p.m. Monday, April 13, in the Monroe Middle School bandroom. The band is inviting new members for all sections and has current members from Monroe, Monticello, Albany, Brodhead and South Wayne. There is a particular need for percussion, clarinet and trumpet musicians at this time.

The summer concerts will begin June 9 and continue through June and July at the Twining Park bandshell in Monroe. More information is available by contacting Randy Schneeberger, director, at 325-9722.
