Back-to-school dorm checklist: Must-have items for a great start
College News

As summer winds down and the back-to-school season approaches, college students are preparing to transform their dorm rooms into comfortable, personalized spaces. Blain’s Farm & Fleet simplifies this process by offering a one-stop shop for all dorm room essentials. Here’s a comprehensive checklist of items to help students turn their bland dorm rooms into cozy, personalized haven:

Bedding

●  Set of ear plugs — Block out the noise from the busy dorm halls, loud streets and even a snoring roommate

●  Bed sheets and pillowcases — Good to have at least two sets, because we all know college laundry days don’t happen too often

●  Blankets / Pillows — Cozy up your new space with tons of comfy blankets and fluffy blankets to make it feel like home

●  Mattress pad — Dorm beds are known for being uncomfortable, so definitely be sure to bring your own topper for added comfort

Small Appliances and Electronics

●  Laptop — For late night cram sessions, make sure you have a high-quality functioning bestie to spend it with. And don’t forget the power cable.

●  Cell phone charger — Low battery mode doesn’t last forever

●  Batteries — Always good to have on hand - you never know when you might need them

●  Microwave and mini fridge — The bread and butter of dorm living

●  Small slow cooker, pizza cooker, or air fryer — to make some hot meals like back home
