Shopping events will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. July 25; from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27.

The event is open to the public to donate clothing and return to “shop” for free. Donating is not required to shop. School supply donations are accepted, including new and gently used tote bags.

This project was developed and facilitated by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Mazzuchelli No. 2609 in Monroe, WI. Last year the Junior CDA Court St. Clare of Assisi took the lead in this project to provide for families the opportunity to donate clothing and school supplies. The donations are sorted and are set up the gym at St. Victor School as a store for families to shop with no charge.

The school supplies are set up for families to go be able to pick up needed items that are on school lists including new and gently used school supplies and backpacks. There are also direct donations and monetary donations used to purchase underclothes and socks for families.

Any items not picked up are donated to area agencies. Each year items are dependent on the donations. The need is great.

How to help:

●  Direct donation to the event of clothing, school supplies or monetary.

●  Hands on – come help sort and set up the store at St. Victor School. Be present while families shop to assist them if needed, straighten up donations or help carry items to their cars.

●    Host a drive for socks, underclothing, backpacks, school supplies, winter gear, etc.

●  Share the information with families throughout Green County.

We welcome individuals, churches, schools, organizations and businesses to join in the project that each year grows. The need for families in our communities grows.
