AutumnFest set for Sept. 27 in Brodhead

BRODHEAD - Brodhead's AutumnFest is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.

Events include a farmers/craft market, the unveiling of Brodhead's second mural, food stands, beer tent, children's pumpkin bowling and petting zoo. People walking around the Square can also hear music from the Stateline Playboys. "Embrace the Race," a pontoon boat ride, will be available for a donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Trick or treating is available at participating local businesses from 10 a.m. to noon, and $1 hayrides through Brodhead are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Those who attend the event can also taste and vote on the best chili during the chili contest, held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $3 charge for the chili tasting.

At noon, the costume parade will begin at the Gazebo.

At 2:45 p.m., the winners of the chili contest will be announced.

At 3:15 p.m., Habitat for Humanity will begin the duck races.
