ALBANY — The Albany United Methodist Church is hosting a chili luncheon at 11 a.m. on March 1 at the church, 500 Park St., Albany. Menu will include: chili, hot dogs, cheese, chips, dessert and beverage. 

Proceeds will go toward the Linus Quilt Project, a national non-profit organization that provides love and security, warmth and comfort to children who are very ill or traumatized. 

There will be a worship service at 8 and 10 a.m. lead by Dan Holmes, guitarist and songwriter.

The event is open to the public.
