Kalberwurst dinner set for April 16
MONTICELLO - The annual kalberwurst supper will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.
The dinner includes kalberwurst (veal sausage), ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, copper penny carrots, applesauce, Swiss bread, cookies and bars. Carryouts are available; call (608) 938-4369.
The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 10; and free for children 4 and under.
The dinner will also include bidding on a silent basket auction.

Business Women's meeting is April 14
FREEPORT - The Jane Addams Chapter of American Business Women's Association will hold it's regular monthly meeting beginning with networking at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14.
The meeting will be held at the Season's, 1100 W. Galena Ave., Freeport. The menu includes roast beef and mashed potatoes with gravy. The program for the evening will be on Business Meeting Management. The cost is $12 per person and reservations are by calling (815) 235-7329 by Monday, April 11.

Card party planned for this Sunday
WIOTA - The Firemen's Auxiliary will be having a Sunday afternoon card party at 1:30 p.m. April 10 at the Wiota Schoolhouse.

DARLINGTON - The Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m.., Thursday, April 14, at the home of Betty Thompson. Roberta Delp will have the program and Thompson will serve dessert.
The purpose of the club is to stimulate an interest in gardening, the development of home grounds, the protection of wild flowers and the promotion of civic beautification. The club is celebrating its 70th year.
