Historical society to meet Sept. 20
ALBANY - Laura Lynn Roth, Albany, will present "People and Places of Moscow," as the topic for the Tuesday, Sept. 20 meeting of The Albany Historical Society, 119 N. Water St., Albany, preceded by a short business meeting at 7 p.m.
Roth will share pictures, stories and impressions from her two-year experience in Moscow, where she taught fourth grade at the Hinkson Christian Academy and lived, commuted, shopped and toured alongside the people of Moscow.

School reunion slated for Sept. 25
JUDA - The 43rd annual Juda School community reunion will be held Sunday, Sept. 25.
The community is invited to attend and share memories with classmates, friends and others. The 50-year graduating class will also be honored. Registration will begin at 1 p.m., at the Juda High School cafeteria. A business meeting program will begin at 2 p.m. in the "old gym."
The 2011 committee consists of Helen Behring, Phyllis Flannery, Dawn Hanson, Calvin Strahm, Janet Thommen, Phillip Trotter, Marcia Wunschel and Don Zimmerman.

Breakfast set for Sept. 26 at MHS
MONROE - Monroe High School's annual homecoming breakfast will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, in the M-Room at the Monroe High School, 1600 26th St., Monroe.
The menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, yogurt, cereal and coffee. Matt Barrett, MHS graduate and Division I cross country runner at the University of Minnesota, will be the guest speaker.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the MHS office, as well as Ruf's Confectionery.

Stamp, coin show slated for Oct. 8
MONROE - The Monroe Moose Lodge will host a stamp, postcard and coin show from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. The Monroe Moose Lodge is located at 639 3rd Ave., Monroe.
