DARLINGTON - Common foot disorders will be the topic of discussion from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, Nov.15, during a meeting of the Lunch Bunch at the County Board Room, Lafayette County Courthouse. Feel free to bring your lunch during this informal hour.

Kalberwurst buffet on the menu

MONROE - A Kalberwurst Buffet will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Nov. 17, at American Legion Club to benefit the troops with holiday packages. On the menu is Kalberwurst, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans provincial, apple sauce, gelatin salads, rolls, and butter, assorted bars, and a beverage. Cost to adults is $8, children 10 and under are $5. The public is invited.

Thanksgiving set at the senior center

MONROE - The Behring Senior Center's Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Entertainment is set for noon on Monday, Nov. 15. The menu will be roasted whole turkey, sliced celery, and sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls with butter; and dinner salad with choice of dressing and croutons. The meal will be catered.

Steven James, singer-songwriter, will perform at 1:30 p.m. in the gym. James has entertained a wide variety of audiences.

Annual madrigal dinner planned

NEW GLARUS - The Third Annual Madrigal Dinner is set for 6 p.m., on Fri., Dec. 3 and Sat. 4. at the New Glarus Middle/High School Commons. . Cost $12 for adults, $7 for children; and 10 and under are free.

Registration for bucks trip

MONROE - Monroe High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) will host students, parents and community members on an FBLA Night with the Bucks against Oklahoma City at Milwaukee's Bradley Center. A charter bus will leave at 4 p.m., Nov. 20, from the high school. Cost per person includes a discounted ticket of $35, a Fear the Deer T-shirt, free throw after the game and transportation.

Holiday pie orders taken at church

MONROE - Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th St., Monroe, will be selling pasties from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 13. The chicken pasties are available baked or unbaked and the beef pasties are baked.

All pasties are frozen and will be available in the church's Fellowship Hall. Please use the entrance by the wooden fence.

Call ahead at the church office at 325-2519 or contact Maynard Heins at 325-3373. The pasty special is three for $10; otherwise, they cost $5 each.

Free hearing screening offered

NEW GLARUS - There will be a free hearing screening, starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Chalet Landhaus, New Glarus. The event also includes a free hearing test, free video otoscope; and free cleaning of hearing aids. This is sponsored by Miracle Ear Hearing Center.
