Puppet show is Tuesday at library
MONROE - The Puppet Player Troupe will perform at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Monroe Public Library.
The teen puppet players group will present the children's classic story, "Cinderella" as part of the Puppets and Popcorn performance series.

MTG sets auditions for 'Charlie Brown'
MONROE - The Monroe Theatre Guild is holding auditions for "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" next week.
Auditions are slated for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, and from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, at the MTG STAGE Building.
The upcoming musical comedy production will be directed by David Sorenson. There are four roles for males and two for females, ages 18 and up.
Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. April 1, 2, 7 and 8; and 2 p.m., April 3 and 9. More information can be found at www.monroetheatre.com or by calling 325-1111.

Juda Boosters to host benefit supper
JUDA - The Juda Booster Club will be hosting a scalloped potatoes and ham supper from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3.
The proceeds will benefit the Juda softball team.

MONROE - A collection for the Eberle family, who lost all their home to a fire, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, at the East Clarno School, Monroe.
The collection will be for furniture and clothing.

MTG spring class schedule available
MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild's spring class schedule now available.
In addition to the usual theater-related classes, MTG will offer fine art classes as well. There are classes for adults as well as children. Children's classes include art, dance, acting, reader's theater, sock puppets and the popular play-in-a-day. Adults can choose from several art classes, dance and acting.
MTG is also offering art classes for home-schooled students on Fridays. The cost of classes range from $6 to $56, and scholarships are available for all classes. Classes start in mid-February.
