Stateline Chorus looks for singers
JANESVILLE - Those who enjoy singing are invited to join the Stateline Women's Holiday Chorus from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning on Oct. 25 at the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 2130 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville.
The chorus welcomes any interested women throughout November to sing along with them in the stateline area during the holidays season.

Cornerstone sets 10th anniversary
ARGYLE - Cornerstone Lutheran Church of Argyle will celebrate its 10th anniversary with special events on Sunday, Oct. 17.
There will be a communion service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Ewing, followed by a pot-luck meal. After the meal, a praise service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. featuring several speakers and special music. The event is open to the public.

McConnell church to host ham, bake sale
MCCONNELL, ILL. - McConnell United Methodist Church, 211 N. Hulbert Toad, will hold its annual fall ham supper and bake sale from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, applesauce, milk, coffee and dessert.
Tickets are sold at the door - $8 for adults, $4 for kids 5 to 10; and kids 5 and under free. Carry-outs will also be available.

MONROE - The Monroe Clinic Diabetes Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the New Glarus Room on the first floor of Monroe Clinic.
The topic of the meeting is food labels - what they mean, what are net carbs, what is trans fat; and what type of milk to drink.
Colette Wyttenbach, registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, will answer questions.
