Scrap metal drive to benefit vets
BRODHEAD - Brodhead American Legion Post 17 has scheduled a Scrap Metal Drive through Thursday, April 28.
The post will be accepting all forms and types of metal from aluminum cans to old cars.
Donations can be made at Bruce Sutherland's, 408 17th St., Brodhead, or by making arrangements for a pick-up.

All proceeds will be used for local veterans programs and for support of veterans needs at the Madison VA hospital.

Garden Club to meet Wednesday
MONROE- The Monroe Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Willie and Bunny Weisendager will speak on "Designing with Willows." To participate in the plant exchange, members encourage plants, bulbs, seeds and other gardening plants to brought to the meeting.
Volunteers are also encouraged to help plant flowers on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 a.m. at the Historical Museum and the Library. Greenhouse tours will be scheduled for May. For information, call (608) 934-5430.
