'Cinderella' auditions to begin April 26
MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild is holding auditions for its summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella." The musical of a young girl finding her prince has several male and female roles for an all-adult cast.
Auditions are being held at MTG, 910 16th Ave., and will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27 and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 28.
Those interested in leading roles should come with a prepared musical piece and music; an accompanist with be provided. Anyone interested in being a part of MTG's production is encouraged to try out.

Birding enthusiast to speak April 25
MONROE - The Green-Rock Audubon Society will host a presentation by Quentin Yoerger, Evansville, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave.
Yoerger will describe the birds and birding hot spots in Lafayette, Green and Rock counties; what birds can be found at each site during each season of the year; and the habitat that can be found at each site. There will be 25 areas presented.
