Hilltop Church holds luncheon
ALBANY - Hilltop Community Church is hosting a mother-daughter-friend salad luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the church, 101 S. Jackson in Albany.
The theme is "Shaped to Serve." Guest speakers are Joan Laffey, author of "Saving Grace," and Sherry Waelti, cosmetic specialist. Mothers and daughters are asked to bring a photo of themselves from age 5 and up.

SOUTH WAYNE - The Black Hawk High School Music Department will present its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the South Wayne lower commons.
Groups performing will include the high school band, choir and state music contestants. This concert is free and open to the public.
