ARGYLE - Argyle American Legion and Auxiliary celebrated its annual Christmas party on Thursday, Jan. 16 and presented a donation to the V.A. hospital.
About $6,200 worth of items and money were donated by Argyle American Legion Post 251 and Argyle Legion Auxiliary unit 251 through the annual Madison Veterans Hospital Christmas Drive. Numerous quilts and lap robes were made by local seamstresses. The monetary donations were used to purchase three laptop computers, one designated for the organ transplant department and the other two for the head trauma unit.
The computers were presented to Rosie Wenger, the American Legion Auxiliary representative at the Madison Veterans Hospital.
