VALPARAISO, Ind. - Melodie Johnson, Monroe, is performing with the Valparaiso University Chamber Concert Band Malta Tour 2009.

The band is conducted by Dr. Jeff Doebler, associate professor of music. The band tours throughout the United States and internationally.

Johnson, who plays bassoon, is a senior biology and chemistry major. Her parents are David and Amy Johnson .
