George and Mary Wirth will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 15. George and the former Mary Rufer were married at St. John's UCC Monroe on Aug. 15, 1965 with Rev. Calvin Fischer and Rev. Donald Storck officiating.
They have four children: Tana (Jeff) Klopfenstein, Michelle (Chad) Berget, Steve, Brian (Brandi) and grandchildren Kyle and Kevin Klopfenstein, Kaylie and Lindsey Berget, and one step-granddaughter Kaylee Hagen.
The couple is hosting an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Juda Community Center for a lunch buffet. The couple asks for no gifts, just your presence.
