Gerald and Frieda Swiggum, Monroe, will observe their 70th wedding anniversary on June 24. Their celebration will be with immediate family.
They were married in the home of the bride's parents in Browntown on June 24, 1939. Attendants were Maxine (Maddrell) Lind and Virgil Swiggum (deceased).
They have three children: Joan (Peter) Arvedson, Elm Grove, Wis.; Jan Schneider, Randleman, N.C.; James (Judith) Swiggum, Allen, Texas. They also have seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
They recently moved to 616 8th Ave., #220, Monroe.
