Stewart and Christie (Wittwer) Strait celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2015. The couple was married July 3, 1965 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe.

The couple has two children: Amy (Scott) Watson, Brodhead, and Jed (Jamie) Strait, Belleville. They have three grandchildren: Bailey Watson, Nashton and Nolan Strait.

They recently celebrated the occasion with a trip to Milwaukee with their children and grandchildren.
