Don and Marcia (Huber) Sorn were married on Nov. 27, 1965, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Freeport. They reside in Monroe and have three daughters: Susan (Mark) Gibney, Elizabeth Sorn and Melissa (Joseph) Holland. They also have six grandchildren: Brett, Nicholas, Allison, Emma, Lily and Claire.

The couple will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Nov. 27 with a family celebration.
