Larry and Shirley Pals are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Larry and the former Shirley Hull were married on June 8, 1969 at Red Oak United Methodist Church in Red Oak, Illinois. Reverend John Bruce was the officiant. Their children are James Pals, Steve Pals and Chad (Hannah) Pals, all of Freeport, Illinois, and Peggy (Todd) Dieken of Rock City, Illinois. They have eight grandchildren. In addition to being partners in marriage, they have been partners in farming for the last 50 years.
