Roger and Beverly Butts celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 19, 2014. Roger Butts and the former Beverly Zimmerman, were married on July 19, 1964 in Monroe. Both are retired from the Janesville School District, Roger as a middle school English teacher, and Beverly as an IMC aide. The couple have two daughters: Angie (Rich) Deegan, Albany, and Steph (Steve) Larson, Windsor, and have six grandchildren: Patrick, Devin, Brady and Kelsey Deegan, and Valerie and Jared Larson. The couple celebrated with a Hawaiian cruise in December. A family dinner is also planned for the couple.
