Gary and Betty (Zimmerman) Brugger will celebrate 50 years of marriage. They were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany on June 24, 1961.
The couple has four children: Lisa (John) Stauffacher, Oregon; Lori Brugger, Monroe; Michael (Sandy Larson) Brugger, Monroe; and Melissa (Tony) DeRemer, Janesville. They also have five grandchildren.
An open house hosted by their children will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Albany Lions Club, 402 N. Cincinnati St., Albany.
The couple requests that, in lieu of gifts, non-perishable items will be collected for the local food pantries.
